White wealthy elites identified with both political parties in the US prefer fascism over democracy because the biggest "problem" they encounter in their daily lives is they think they could make even more money if they were allowed to hurt people.

Both major parties are pro-cop and anti-immigration and slavishly devoted to the billionaire class.
The vast majority of Americans thus have essentially zero representation at any level in the US government.

There's a reason why every time a cop shoots and kills an innocent person, the Republicans cheer and Democrats respond by wanting to give those cops even more money.

@gwynnion
A fair number aren't even that interested in if they are sure it makes them more money ( unless it makes them a lot- but most aren't looking at huge margins). They are actually just interested in effectively being gentry and having innate deference.I wish I was incorrect here. They just want the 'oh you go ahead sir/ma'am', even if they graciously refuse to do it. Social capital and superiority.

Everyone in power knows that cops, whatever agency they belong to, whatever they call themselves, are literally just state sponsored terrorists with guns pointed at poor and non-white people to keep us in line.

@gwynnion Pick your representation very carefully!!
If they make 2-100X more/year than you do, it might be a poor choice depending on whether or not they condone:
1.) Harming minorities and children
2.)Extrajudicial murders
3.)Refusing to see reality
4.)Subscribing to race-supremist fallacies
5.)Making capital offenses out of minor infractions
6.)Worshiping the aquisition of money as a deity
7.)Giving the finger to the peoples of america as well as other democracies of the world -

The problem is not that Americans don't protest enough.

@Oggie When it comes to the billionaires in the nosebleed section of wealth, there's basically nothing left in terms of ambition except pursuing aristocratic titles or absolute political power. And of course, most of these guys are convinced they're geniuses by virtue of wealth and should be allowed to dictate the outcome of human history.

@gwynnion
So the thing is, the whole convinced they're genuises is basically a reinforcement counterbalance to a simple question everyone asks at some point that doesn't have any pleasant answers.Why am I rich, and that person is not.
Luck, systemic factors, I am not that rich, racism, parentage, innate skills, innate intelligence, hard work- the short list.
As the disparity grows between 'I can't get the newest version without going outside my budget this week's and 'need shelter', well...

@gwynnion I think part of the problem also, is the sorry state of the US educational system... it causes people to easily to believe propaganda, which both parties are great at putting out.. I mean why put out anything useful, when propaganda works even better on the masses... The People called for "Defunding The Police", which instantly right wing ran the claims that people on the left were talking about eliminating the police (not 100% true, not 100% false either) but what people were demanding is to take a good bit of the excess funding that is put into protecting the piggies that commit crimes, and shunt that into social service programs to help people to avoid having the police called to start with... mental health programs, help up programs, drug dependency programs, all would do more in most community then so called "crime prevention", and more so, setting up agencies without guns, to go out for social services calls, such as "hey I think there is a guy on my street that might need some help, he's a little aggressive, but I think he's high or maybe something is wrong with him" to have someone trained to deal with a person that has mental challenges or possible drug issues be the first line, instead of the after call would do a lot more there too...

The most frightening thing I've heard from President Trump is his referral to his "morality" wrt to decisions on Greenland.
