One thing I’ve noticed? There can be wars, famine, fascism, hell, maybe even an asteroid strike. It just doesn’t matter. Fediverse enthusiasts will stay hyper-focused on their missions like nothing else happened that day 🙂

@shoq Do you think itʼs the need for content warnings, so people donʼt bother in case they get reported? This place was so much more a free-for-all when I joined in 2017, but when the Twitter people came, many brought this holier-than-thou attitude of what could and could not be said. So everyone started policing themselves. What seemed to get a pass was the pro-fediverse content.
Maybe itʼs my rose-coloured glasses, but it was way more tolerant before.

@jackyan @shoq Part of the reason I run my own server is because if someone wants to police me, they’ll have to de-federate me. 😆

@atomicpoet @shoq If I knew how, Iʼd do it! But all the how-to guides need a computer science degree, so I stay put …

@jackyan @shoq It is indeed a learning process, and they was a lot of heartbreak along the way.
