I really don't know how seriously to take the violence warnings because it's the 80's and 80's movies can go a few different directions with that.
More seriously there does seem to be a lot of not-okay stuff involving a teenage girl dealing with creepy males including being pressured into sex and sex situations with a vampire. It starts pretty early in the movie.
