Note that the appeasement of major US media before #Trump and #MAGA by firing anyone who dares to say accurate things about #CharlieKirk is pretty much how the news work in #Russia . In theory, Russia has a free press. In practice, any corporate newspaper, television channel, etc. is too intimidated by the Russian government to so anything but support their agenda.

If you want to understand how this works, read the 2014 book "Nothing Is True and Everything Is Possible: The Surreal Heart of the New Russia" by Peter Pomerantsev. He laid it out how it works in Russia, and in recent years it has become increasingly clear to me that this is where the USA is headed - as well as quite a few other nations.
