        @audreygwinter @juergen_hubert Hah, that's interesting. The random link seems to get a different non-random story in the preview on each Mastodon instance. I was just thinking "What drawings?" and then I opened Audrey's post on dice.camp and Jürgen's on mementomori.social - different stories each.

            @audreygwinter @blind_mapmaker

            Yeah, each instance fetches the data for its own preview card (which adds up to more than 1,000 GET requests to the wiki within the span of a few minutes...).

              @audreygwinter @blind_mapmaker

              And as for the drawing, sometimes I get lucky and find a beautiful old postcard or other illustration that fits the region on Wikimedia Commons. If not, I try to find some other photo that conveys the atmosphere of the area.

              If my Patreon campaign becomes more successful, I plan to commission #CreativeCommons Zero artwork for some of these tales. But I still have some distance to go until I reach that funding level.

                @juergen_hubert

                The Devil as a Girl.

                Could work for turning the tables on murder hobo players.

                BTW I spotted a typo: the first "look" is a visually sneaky "lock".

                “My lord, lock at her feet, look at her feet!”

                ETA: Of course I missed an autocorrect error in my "there's a spelling error" post.

                  @btuftin Thanks! I am grateful for every typo I can eliminate.
