    This Campbell’s Soup fiasco is completely deranged.

    You’ve got a VP in charge of information security who apparently hates his own product, sneers at the “poor people” who buy it, and goes on an hour-long rant so bad his own employee felt compelled to hit record.

    According to the lawsuit, he calls Campbell’s food “shit for poor people,” trashes Indian coworkers as “idiots,” brags about showing up high on edibles, and then launches into a TED Talk about “bioengineered meat” and chicken from a 3D printer.

    And now Campbell’s has to look the world in the eye and say, with a straight face, “No, we do not in fact 3D print our chickens.”

    Their statement basically boils down to, “We use actual USDA-approved chicken, this guy works in IT, and he has no idea how the soup is made.”

    Meanwhile the whistleblower says he got fired 20 days after reporting the rant, so he’s suing for retaliation and a hostile work environment, and Florida’s attorney general is jumping in to investigate whether Campbell’s is secretly ladling out lab-grown meat.

    So now the brand that spent a century selling “Mmm mmm good” is stuck in a news cycle where the main headline is: “We swear we’re not feeding you 3D-printed poverty soup.”

      @atomicpoet

      They fired the guy who tried to warn them so that they could fix the problem before it went public, but they have only SUSPENDED the goy who is responsible for the toxic words.

      Okay.

        @AnnieBuddy I suspect they’ll have to fire him. 😆
