Translation: Covid vaccines alone do a better job of preventing infection than previous Covid infection plus vaccine.
This is contrary to what people expected (arguing that infection plus vaccine would be stronger)
Interpretation: Covid can wreck your immune system, so that you don’t form immunity well to subsequent immune challenges like vaccination (and other infections)
