Thanks! Ik was inderdaad benieuwd. Storage vindt ik nog wel meevallen zelfs.

Ik heb het gevoel dat op infra gebied nog wel wat winst te behalen valt. Mogelijk kan ik daar nog wel wat in betekenen om een keer mee te denken als je dat interessant vindt.

Omdat ik een tijd geleden een migratie heb gedaan wou ik graag naar volumes met de database, echter bleek dit een drama te zijn en niet te werken waardor we weer moesten upgraden naar de hoogste tier

Die zat laatst dus ook bijna vol dus de enige oplossing was een dedicated met veel meer storage voor de database

Je kan dan zelfs nog zo ver gaan als dynamisch op- en afschalen van servers indien je Kubernetes gebruikt. Je betaald immers per uur. 2/2

48 cores, 96 threads i believe, 192RAM en 2x 2TB nve

@stux I thought mstdn.social was run by Mastodon gGmbH, the German company that creates and distributes the mastodon software, who also run mastodon.social and mastodon.online (and joinmastodon.org). That was a big oops in my mind on who runs the server.
