@stux I don't remember exactly but one of the very very first was Paratrooper on some 8086 Olivetti thing at Dad's office. Lemmings and Sim City weren't far behind.

@stux On a domestic or office computer, I think it must have been the version of Breakout that came on the starter tape with the Spectrum.

I'd probably played cabinets before that point, though. (Space Invaders was probably old hat by that point, but I remember Defender, Zaxxon, and Tempest in the local swimming pool.)

@stux The first "game" I ever played was the edutainment game Playful Professor for the Commodore 64. @stux I can’t really recall details like that, but my best timeline reconstruction would be Lunar Lander on a friend’s VIC20, although Wikipedia claims that the VIC20 version was an unlicensed clone, called “Jupiter Lander”.
