@stux sounds a lot like the Republican (MAGA) party that claim to represent the 80%, whilst enriching the 1%.

@stux We went through that back in the 1990s with Ross Perot's Reform party. We don't need it again.
If we do get a viable third party I want it to be one that builds itself from the ground up, starting with local and school board elections and working its way up to the state and then the federal level, done that way by true grassroots organizing. That's the kind of third party that would be both viable and serve people who aren't rich.

We have exactly that party here in the UK, it's called Reform UK and has links with Musk via the Heritage Foundation under the Atlas Network, so the die is already cast there. -

@stux wait this could be the thing that saves America. There is no way to remove Trump before the end of his term. Except if suddenly the composition of the house and senate changes and impeachment can be brought to completion. What if Musk creates a new party, it throws money at it and some republicans in the house and senate switch side, go with him, and support impeachment and removal of Trump?
