Oh, isn't Brexit just wonderful five years on?

-
@TOrynski 5 yrs on? It was in 2016, no?
-
@bytebro they officially left 5 years ago. 2016 was just the referendum
-
@TOrynski just one more year bro, HODL!

@TOrynski just one more year bro, HODL!
@SolarDavy right honourable Rees Mogg, member representing the XVIII century, said once it might be more like 50 years...

That dude's forehead tells ya he's lying immediately.

@TOrynski I don't think Brexit or non-EU membership has much to do with that, honestly. Norway and Iceland aren't EU members, and have thriving economies. It's _how_ you manage those economies. The old stereotype of this pompous UK banker in a top-hat, which is featured in a NUMBER of American films, is very much becoming a real thing again. Because there is no leash. Capitalism is a fantastic thing...when it has leash. Norway has a leash. Iceland has a leash. The US and the UK don't....

@TOrynski Depressing. Liars, they always lied and ruined us, for what exactly? Freedom from EU tax laws comes to mind.
-
@TOrynski A 3rd Culture kid* brought up on chicken farm in Peru on tales of the British Empire from Ladybird history books who found the reality of life in the mother country to be less glorious than expected and so foreigners must be to blame. A laughing stock, charlatan, and billionaire hireling, reliably wrong about everything.
*like Banks, Carswell and so many other Brexiters
