I can also cut some costs with volumes used for search database, backups and swap lol!
For now ill keep the old server running, JUST in case since it mstdn is my baby
️If all goes well ill delete it tomorrow later in the evening to save costs

The company started in Germany, but they are now under U.S. Jurisdiction since opening offices there. I know you've been watching what is happening in America with great concern.

@stux thank you for everything! With costs going up, do you think you’ll start to limit how big the user count on this server will get? I’d hate for an influx to wipe you out. I’m happy to keep paying monthly, but I assume most people can’t or won’t.

Okay a little recap of the server migration:
It turns out we have a few rows in our database that are issues so a normal export -> transfer -> import did not work (that takes 5-6 hours)
So after trying the list i got advice from @ruud to transfer the database files manually and that kinda worked-ish
It took still a few hours of resets and reinstalling the correct versions and after that upgrade Mastodon itself
OOF. but we're back now yay
