Goddamn.. really fuck the #US and with that the #Trump regime
-
@EUCommission The time has come
We need to sanction / break ties with the US
Stand up against the dictator
-
@stux I'm a bit puzzled - but I guess your reaction is in line with most people. Wasn't Maduro a fascist dictator whose opponent was awarded the Nobel peace prize? Is the issue the *mechanism* through which the US achieved his ouster (military force)?

@escarpment Yes but Trump uses it as a reason to invade a country
In comparisson to Russia and Ukraine where he seems to enable the war
This is never okay esp the way he did it
-
@stux overwhelmingly agree but US did manage to do this without torturing civilians to death, looting their homes, and kidnapping their children (to the best of my knowledge). Also Ukraine's leadership was democratically elected, unlike Maduro. Doesn't make this in any way defensible but there are differences.

@aliide But when it comes to helping Ukraine he chooses Russia while invading another country
I understand but this is not the way

@stux Is the US invading with the intent to occupy and administer the country? Or was this merely the military force necessary to "safely" oust Maduro with minimal US / Venezuelan casualties

@stux Shoe on the other foot, if the US had the military might to "safely" oust Putin, would you approve or oppose?

@escarpment Not in this fasion
Like i said, today is it this dictator but who is it tomorrow?
I don't approve the way they handle it but also the focus is way "off wack" so tosay
-
@stux I wish I could argue against that statement.
