@stux Unfair. In a world of collapsing interest rates and cryptocurrency cons, a well managed stock/bond portfolio is pretty much the only practical investment opportunity left, especially for people on fixed incomes. Actively trading as an amateur can be viewed as gambling, but professionally managed portfolios, 401Ks, etc. are among the least risky investment vehicles today.

@lauren What about bank interest rates? There are some safer ways to invest perhaps but personally i would not put my life savings into a stock for example
All im saying is that if there's a chance to lose it all, only put in what you're prepared to lose

@stux They way they have structured retirement accounts, we have no choice but to have market investments. If you take it out of the accounts they tax it into oblivion. I may end up destitute in my mid 60’s with no way to recover.
Yes, they are intentionally trying to kill many of us off.
