...Wait, is this Trump trying to pull a "We got Osama" moment? He spends two months building up a villain and now he expects to go down in history for it?
Ugh. It's so hard to ascribe a motive to any of that asshole's activities because he's got the brain of a 12-year-old and "hey guys, wouldn't it be cool if-" is legitimately half his thought process

Because it feels good. Beating the shit out of people you disagree with feels good. Ignoring your problems while blaming them on people who are different feels good.
None of it WORKS, but that's something you find out two years *after* you hold the parades and repress civil rights and invade South America. And then it takes a generation to fix it, and the fascist era becomes The Good Ol' Days for the idiots in the next generation and the cycle repeats.
