I watched Death Race 2000 a couple years ago as part of my slow project of watching movies I really should have seen by now. It's pretty good but very 70s!
Also there was a tie-in arcade game that was one of the first (maybe THE first?) case of outrage over video games being too violent! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Race_(1976_video_game)
(Though Wikipedia doesn't mention it being a tie-in so maybe the timing was a coincidence or it was an unlicensed game low-key inspired by the movie.)
