Party was a success. I am *very* aware of the limits of my social battery these days, though

Feeling honored to have been present at the premiere of my 1 year old niece's new three hour avante-garde harsh noise symphony. Being trapped in a moving Ford Focus (or some damn thing) for the whole thing really maximized the impact of the whole piece.

Went to Bandon beach for the day. Some great galleries and things, excllent seafood. Was going to go swimming but it was like 64f down by the sea. Which is a little insulting given it's over a hundred only a dozen or so miles inland.

But I got a pair of socks with bigfoot embroidered on them, and that's what really matters.

Played a game of Magic: the Gathering with my brother-in-law, who is obsessive about it. Proud to say the old-timer (me) pulled off a win ^^

I won't be spending hundreds on the game, but I may pick up a preconstructed deck to play on the holidays. ^^

I miss the beach already.

Is it just me or do men's shirts only jave two settings? It's either boring or gaudy.

Like it's either pineapples or "have you considered purchasing a timeshare" over here.

Went to an excellent little dairy-style place for lunch, got to watch them make cheese while waiting for our grilled cheeses.

You know what feels good? When you take a bite of some award-winning tomato soup and go, "wow, that's almost exactly like mine."
