    I think people sleep on using dark beer for cooking. Most recipes call for a lager or something but I often use a dark beer (something with a bit more life than Guinness) to fantastic results.

    This dark ale I made has cooked up some of the best beer brats I’ve ever cooked up.

      @NullNowhere Can also use it for baking, if that’s a thing one wants to do:)

        @yon@sakurajima.moe that too. It the beer is alive it can even sub for your yeast addition.

        I also like to save some of the spent grain from brewing. You can add it to bread recipes to create what amounts to high fiber bread.
