I keep seeing a bunch of articles about people quitting pokemon tcgp... haven't read yet but I should probably do that because idk what's going on @dean@urusai.social Well, you triggered my curiosity so I had to look into it.
 Basically, they release new sets every so often, right? Once they're out, they're out and people can collect them at their leisure. These sets also contain new cards that count to filling out the set, about 100. I guess part of the deal here is that there are people who are only in it for collecting cards.
 So they released this new set called 'Deluxe Pack: ex'. The problems with this release are
 * 300+ cards
 * They are re-releases, and they don't map back to the original set for the completionists.
 * The set is time-limited: It's going away unlike other sets.
 * It's mathematically impossible to get the full set from free pulls alone in the given time.
 * You get 4 instead of 5 cards (but one is rare).
 * Card packs give some kind of metacurrency that can only be spent in the set. People don't know what's going to happen to those points when the set disappears.
 So people are mad. The subreddit is quiet though so I am not sure how big of a deal this really is, or if its' just some drummed up thing.

@NullNowhere oh my god, they said they'd fix the card collecting issue... next summer??? @dean@urusai.social that’s pretty wild. It took them all this time to announce it, and then they’re not fixing it until next year?? Clowns.

@NullNowhere guess so small indie company small indie company@dean@urusai.social indie indeed. Developed by two companies. About 300 employees in one company and 2500 in the other. The poor babes.
 If I had to make a real guess, they already have 1-2 quarters of work planned out and they refuse to delay any current work. That’s kinda dismissive to me but whatever.
