Today we are calling on institutions around the world to take control of their #DigitalSovereignty, including their social accounts. Governments should communicate directly with their citizens on open platforms, not through the mouthpiece of a corporation.

      The world needs social sovereignty

The world needs to log off corporate-owned, centrally-controlled social media platforms and log on to a better way of being online. The world needs an open social web through the fediverse and Mastodon.

If you care about digital sovereignty and want to see your government join the #fediverse, contact them to say that #ItsTimeToAbolishX.

Help us make a list of how to get in touch with a representative in your area under this post, and don’t forget to #hashtag so your neighbours can find it 👇🏽 we’ll start:

@xodus_online @Mastodon I don't really agree with the website on several issue's. You said Twitter promotes "Far right" whatever that means to you, but it's not only far right (which you dedicate a whole page to), but also far left who are promoted by Twitter. Let's not make it about politics. They promote whatever gets people fired up, which is both sides of the isle.

You also said on the website that Bluesky is a good alternative, which I don't agree with. Bluesky has a prominent bias for "left wingers". I think both sides of the extremes are not good.
Over 60% of shared links on Bluesky lead to left-wing sites, 20% centrist, and only 8% right-leaning, per a University of Zurich study.

I don't agree with the new policies of Twitter (is why I'm here) but let's take back social media from politics and let social media be what it always was, a media to be social with people, not a politics forum 😄

Well, Elon Musk is widely known for supporting fascists.
