@atomicpoet whilst I agree I have to remind myself that compared to 20 years ago this is now that old AMD plus ATI plus XILINX. The ATI acquisition in particular seems to have worked out well

Chris Morgan Yeah, but we also have to remember modern Intel is Intel plus Infineon plus Havok. But wait. Intel fumbled those promising acquisitions.

To be fair, Intel at least realized they needed to make GPUs. But that only launched in 2022—and they really need to play catch up.
