I was talking with a male friend who has traditionally dated women and in the past few years has also started dating or hooking up with men.

He said that connecting with men via dating apps (he's tried several) is way harder because even most of the men who start of nice get creepy really fast. Even after hearing about it from women all his life, he was shocked at the magnitude when he experienced it first hand himself. It was a fascinating conversation.
