    Buffering is a thing of the past. Europe’s internet is getting a long-overdue refresh.

    Our proposed Digital Networks Act is here to scrap old copper wires and push modern and harmonised networks.

    We are talking frictionless, high-speed fibre across EU networks and protecting net neutrality in innovative services:
    πŸ₯‡ Consumer-first approach with fair pricing and better support
    πŸ›‘οΈ Networks built to survive hacks and storms
    ⚑ Pure speed for your internet experience

        @EUCommission
        I believe it when I have it.

        Telekom still has shitty peerings causing connections to certain endpoints to be quite shitty and in regards to fiber connectivity to the home - well - my city says telekom is going to connect it until the end of 2026. Telekom on the other hand says "not planned"...

              Fancy words while the real protagonists of the cast are never mentioned, nor is it described to public opinion how they control the facts or carry out real politics. Include large investment funds and international corporations in your speech. Their budgets are greater than the GDP of many countries.

                @EUCommission please, make companies who make money with Internet pay for the infrastructure. Communication and information access must be a citizen right. It's nonsense users paying Internet connections for making rich people richer.

                              @EUCommission Alas, the illustration is a perfect example of a centralized, non resilient network, with a single point of failure. Mastodon is a very good example of successful "innovative tech" because it's decentralized by design.

                                    @EUCommission Are we talking about peering practices of TIER 2 Carriers like Deutsche Telekom here? 😏

                                          @EUCommission Please ensure that #IPv6 is at the heart of any EU internet plans. All ISPs and hosting providers should offer it, enabled by default.

                                          The free market has failed to replace legacy IP because of the chicken and egg situation and it needs political pressure to engage.
