I watched a movie that I enjoyed this week.

It was called The Thursday Murder Club. The main characters are residents at a retirement village (a very nice one that was made from a converted manor, I think). They like to read cold case files and see if they can figure out what happened and who committed the crime.

In looking at who made the movie, it was pretty much a given I would like it. Chris Columbus directed it and Thomas Newman did the music. That probably would have been enough, but it also starred Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Ben Kingsley, with support from Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, Richard E. Grant, and David Tennant.

It was well done and I enjoyed the characters and the plot. I wish this was a series. Maybe it will be, because the book they based it on was the first in a series.
