I finally remembered to look and see if The Accountant 2 was streaming. I had enjoyed the first one quite a bit.

Well, the good news is that it was streaming. The bad news is that it was not at all what I had hoped.

I think some people will probably really enjoy it. If you watched the first movie and thought, "Wow, I really want to see more about the relationship between those two brothers!" or "Wow, I really liked that Treasury Analyst - I would love to see more of that character," then this is a movie you might like.

What I liked about the first movie was the relationship between The Accountant and Anna Kendrick's character (Dana). The way he was so excited to show her what he had found and she listened. The way they talked about longing for acceptance and connection, and the way they found something with each other. He cared about her.

But there was none of that in this movie. I feel like Ben Affleck didn't even play the character the same way he did in the first film.

If you like Jon Bernthal, he really Bernthaled it up in this movie. He did a nice job. He's not an actor I really enjoy, but a lot of people do, and he's very much in his element here.

I don't think it was a bad movie. It just wasn't for me.
