@georgetakei yesterday I had dinner with a friend who is working inside the French government for a minister. He said he had to put all the work on his start-up (a side gig) on pause and essentially freeze it because there cannot be conflicts of interest. He had been under several extensive reviews to make sure he couldn’t profit from his role. My joke: “haha I guess France isn’t like the US”
