    This evidence is available, but it likely needs a journalist or someone else similar who can curate it and package it up for easy public digestion.

      @RichSPK They responded to a community member's FOIA request. (And repeated FOIA pinging, it would seem)

      @deviantollam yeah, I saw that. I think my local PD, and certainly the White House, would have drawn out a FOIA request much longer.

          @kevinrns local PD came and investigated and verified that the room into which the round was discharged was unoccupied at the time.

          Although, it was a near miss... Someone had been assigned that room by the front desk and was actually in the hallway proceeding towards the room when the agent fired his weapon.

          The other hotel guest heard the shot and thought some piece of equipment had experienced a catastrophic failure in a wall or something.

              @kevinrns @lerxst I believe that reports are he was a 30-year veteran of some sort of federal law enforcement I think. He then came out of retirement to work for ICE on this assignment.

                @deviantollam I think I'll invent a switch on a gun that prevents it from going off, to help prevent this kind of thing

                @deviantollam @Retreival9096

                As its very likely a #Glock, it does not have a traditional safety switch that most traditional firearm have.

                It has THREE safeties.

                Now a SAFETY, will prevent
                an ๐Ÿ‘‰ACCIDENTAL๐Ÿ‘ˆ discharge.

                The three (3) safeties will, however not
                prevent a ๐Ÿ‘‰NEGLIGENT๐Ÿ‘ˆ discharge.

                But because the two #ICE muppets are struggling
                (Adam Autio, Bradley Shaver, remember their names), calling this an ACCIDENTAL discharge allows them to save face.

                  The police report is a hoot though... "On 12/18/2025 at approximately 1927 hours, I, Officer Wayde Anderson #194, and other officers were dispatched to the Hampton Inn located at 3000 Eagandale Place in the city of Eagan for a weapons call. Dispatch notes indicated that federal agents were staying in room 322, and an agent's firearm had been fired in the room. I arrived and made contact with the federal agent in question whom I identified as Bradley Shaver. Bradley wasn't injured; however, I observed a hole in his sweatshirt that I later learned was caused by the fired 9mm round."

                  "Bradley's supervisor, Adam Autio, was contacted and informed of the incident. The firearm, as well as two magazines, 28 unfired 9mm rounds, the "backstrap", the fired casing, and fabric from Bradley's clothing were entered into evidence for safekeeping. Adam informed officers he would be picking up the firearm for processing."

                  This part is wild...

                  "As he was doing this, he heard a very loud bang. Initially he thought the gunshot came from somewhere else and he yelled 'shots fired!' and then told his wife he had to go and hung up. Shaver then felt heat on the left side of his body, looked down and saw the damage to his shirt and realized the shot had some from his own weapon."

                  @deviantollam The full report is terrifying and ridiculous at the same time. I initially assumed that the officer just neglected to clear the chamber before working on his weapon. Which would have been bad. But he diligently explains how the way he was holding the gun induced a malfunction preventing chambering the next round. That means he had a full magazine in the gun while working on it, pointing it at himself. WTAF?!

                    @deviantollam

                    He was mucking around with his firearm while it was loaded, AND he was on the phone at the time with his wife. Having fired the shot, he was too stupid to realise that the bloody loud noise and kickback was from the weapon he was pointing at himself.

                    Fnck me!

                    He's morbidly obese, incredibly stupid, and a danger to anyone around him. Perfect ICE material.

                    I sincerely hope his wife is busy drawing up the divorce papers.

                      Thanks, read the report..
                      The good news is that it didn't happen in the street during the day.

                      The bad news is his superisor said he'd reissue a firearm to him, the next day.

                      That brings two <expl dele> that shouldn't be handling firearms without additional firearm training.

                      Considering the number of ICE officers on site, 2000, I would think that they could spare him, especially now that they been identified publically.

                        Most modern handguns donโ€™t have a safety because itโ€™s considered poor practice to rely on said mechanism.

                        The problem here was entrusting a poorly trained fool with a firearm. #1 rule of firearm safety is to treat every gun as if itโ€™s loaded and to never allow it to point to anything you donโ€™t intend to destroy.

                                    @deviantollam Is it normal to have a loaded gun indoors? (Brit here).

                                      @deviantollam pure speculation, but it looks a lot like he was practicing drawing from concealment to the retention position and forgot he had one in the pipe.

                                      Maybe his shirt got snagged in his gut crevice.

                                      He was attempting to change the backstrap (a customizable component of the grip), while in the field, with a fully loaded magazine, and a round in the chamber.

                                        @deviantollam Obvious gun stupidity aside.. what kind of cardboard are these walls made of, that a regular handgun can *shoot through* and cause that much damage in the next room..?! Or did he somehow manage to fit FMJs in his pistol?
