@juergen_hubert they are shocking. I do have a question: are there stories about changelings based around children and people who were obviously deaf? I’m planning on writing a story with a protagonist who is deaf, but going by the time period it is set, I wonder if some people might think her sudden deafness could be due to a changeling.

None spring to my mind, but that doesn't mean they are not out there.
