X offering the use of Grok to create and share pictures of undressed women and children is horrendous.

    The EU Commission has already:
    • taken investigative steps
    • ordered the company to retain internal documents.

X now has to fix its AI tool in the EU - and they have to do it quickly.

If not, we will not hesitate to take additional measures under the DSA.

@hennavirkkunen good job. An even better job would be to have all EU communication move away from any platform owned by political actors, as that's a risk in itself

Good question. The Mastodon instance for the European Comission is this one: ec.social-network.europa.eu/@E…
so why would she use mastodon.social 🤔?

@hennavirkkunen a) welcome to the fediverse. b) I love that you're taking on these horrible people, keep at it. c) while you're at it, we'd much appreciate if the commission ran its own fediverse instance and official communication migrated there. ❤

          Take care.

@hennavirkkunen If you see a criminal act, such as Grok creating pictures of your child in naked, sexual poses, you don't send a letter to Grok's makers, to please stop doing it. No. You shut it down. And second you send a clear message.
And you delete those pictures at once.

@hennavirkkunen And until they've "fixed" it, their operations are stopped, right? They can't just continue their child porn business? And the perpetrators inside the company are going to prison I assume?

Block Twix in the EU until your investigations and conclusions are done. Stop getting fooled by BigTech.

If this isn’t a sufficient motivation how about this: protect kids and women NOW.

Don’t let them suffer due to administrational inefficiency. Life and psychological health of both groups are at risk.

@hennavirkkunen / Herzlich Willkommen. Super, dass Sie hier vertreten sind. Ein guter Schritt. Das sollte Vorbildwirkung haben. Da sollten sich die anderen Politiker ein Beispiel nehmen. Das hat etwas mit Glaubwürdigkeit zu tun.

@hennavirkkunen Props for posting this on Mastodon rather than on Twitter.

It is great to see the EU now take open source and open platforms more seriously, it would be nice if more Finnish politicians would understand the meaning of free and open social media.

While fines might work some time, the big american tech giants will always look for loopholes. A better move is just getting people off those platforms, and the single most effective way is for nation leaders leading by example.

@lexinova According to Heise, the EU commission confirmed to DPA that Henna Virkkunen just opened an account at "the German company Mastodon". Of course this does not proof that exactly this is her account. https://www.heise.de/news/Trotz-Kritik-an-X-EU-Spitzen-weiterhin-nicht-bei-Mastodon-11140102.html

As long as there is no notice on any official .EU account, I will treat this account like the mails from an african prince.
