@ami_angelwings Absolutely brutal competition for this title, but I feel like giving it to the last level of #Bastion, with either ending. It perfectly ties up the game, and gives the whole story new context that makes it worth a second play. When I showed the game to a friend, I made a point of saying nothing for the whole ending, so they could appreciate all the narration and the music. Also, the ending duet is breathtakingly beautiful.

@ami_angelwings The Asterisk War and Chivalry of a Failed Knight both premiered their anime series in the same season (fall 2015) and their very similar premises (magical battle school harems with red-haired tsundere lead heroines, among other similarities) apparently led many to compare them.In a similar vein, I find it interesting that Cross Ange and Yona of the Dawn came out at the same time too (fall 2014). Both are two-cour anime series about princesses who basically lose everything at the beginning of the story. These stories diverge quickly though, in both tone and concept.

#JustFinished The Refrigerator Monologues by @Catvalente Ho. Lee. Fuck! That was amazing! I honestly didn't know what the stories were. I just read it because I love Valente's work. This was an excellent send-up of women in comics & how they're used as set dressing for the male characters' lives and motivations. Painful, harsh, gorgeous & starkly feminist.
