I backed the "Infernals: Crowned by Hellfire" crowdfunding campaign for #Exalted 3E, though I am not sure when/if I will actually get around to running it. It certainly seems unlikely with my current group.Still, these books make for good recreational reading, and I like what I am seeing so far:In the 2E version, the Yozis picked candidates for Infernal Exaltations among people who had a chance for a big, heroic moment, but then failed to jump at the chance. In 3E, their primary criterion is _resentment_ - the candidates must feel that the world is not as it should be, and blame someone else for it.This works excellently for character motivation - we only need to look at the state of the real world, and we find plenty of reasons to be resentful of something, real and imagined. And then the Yozis give them the power to so something about it. The goal for the Yozis is no longer "escaping Malfeas" - all but the Ebon Dragon have accepted that as impossible. Instead, they expect the Green Sun Princes to lash out against Creation and the Gods, punishing them in a way that the Yozis themselves are unable to do.This even allows for sort of "heroic" Infernals - after all, it is quite clear that there is no shortage of people in Creation who are utter dicks.#TTRPGhttps://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/onyx-path/deluxe-exalted-infernals
