Regardless, it seems from the replies that most people answered the question as asked. When I see AI-generated images on the Fediverse, it's one of two things. Either people seem to genuinely believe the photo is real, like with some fake deep-sea creatures a few months back. Or, the image is newsworthy on its own, like the Trump Jesus thing. If I estimate, I think this happens maybe once or twice a week, so 1 out of 100 or maybe 200 images. So, I'd say 0-25%.Thanks everyone!

Regardless, I find it hard to say that this event was "staged" in any meaningful way. I'm a No, but I haven't read the report so I don't have good grasp of the details.

@jessamyn I block when I don't want someone's bullshit showing up in my replies without me seeing it. I mute when I'm OK with others seeing someone talking about me or responding to me without me engaging.

Thanks to everyone. I think people stay home when they're sick primarily because it's one of the few occasions for taking time off. I think it's also embarrassing to smell of sick sweat and vomit and to have snot and phlegm coming out of every hole and to have to sprint for the toilet with nausea or diarrhea every 15 minutes. It's weird that so few respondents thought this was a motivator for people to stay home.

@julian ah, right! I meant, many Fediverse servers don't do a good job with caching headers, but you can use some of the data to guess if there have been changes. Caching headers are better though!

Once I added up my 8 or so for work, and another half dozen for tv, phone, and school, I realized that I was creeping pretty close into the same territory. And I don't really feel like the TV Guy from Slacker.
