One thing that #TheOuterWorlds2 did well was give most of its skills both combat and non-combat applications (e.g. observation both flags hidden objects and gives bonus headshot damage). It stops you from having to balance those skills against eachother in a combat-heavy game. And, unlike in some games where combat and non-combat are siloised, your non-combat skills affect your combat playstyle (e.g. high observation favours precise weapons) #rpg #crpg
