The GM said it was CR 16, which sounds incredibly high, but we are 5 10th level characters, so maybe it's not bad? It still could have messed us up if we were in melee.Fun fact: ranged weapon attacks under water have disadvantage in 2024. However, ranged spell attacks are normal! We found the stuff. We stole this castle too. Off to home!2/2

We also had to sort out how to get the new guy to be able to act underwater all day... The original 4 of us had cloaks of the manta ray. We found some maritime armor in the cloud giant castle. Which gave swim speed, but not breathing.Which is when it turned out lucky that I'm undead! I don't need to breathe, so I grabbed the armor and gave up the cloak. Worked out well, for once.

#TuesdayGame I tried to negotiate a peace with the cloud giants. They were willing to not fight so long as we left. We moved to plan b, for beat them up.We had added a new player this week, so it was fun watching the new dynamics. He was super effective! It was a good night with the new guy getting both kills and the cloud giant being surprised that our dragonborn had a flight speed! We did find the cloud giants hunting blind. #TuesdayGame My character turned into an angsty teen. Moping around. Walking all night long instead of sleeping. In fairness, their god is Celestian, god of travelers and stars, so they were really working to connect with their god.They did stumble on the next job, finding some stuff for another minion of Iuz. Made good use of the Commune spell to get close to an underwater castle we want to steal from. I think we need to ally with good aligned folk instead at some point...#DnD #ttrpg

Upon reflection, I think Nene (my PC) will tear down everything around them to seal Obmi back up and no longer be undead. Obmi's plans can land in whatever personal hell he ends up in with him. Now, how do I make that happen? Note: being actually dead is one way to not be undead, I know.Also, excellent example of "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." P wanted Nene back. #tuesdayGame Perhaps you recall that last week, we tried to make it into Geb all sneaky-like, pretending to be merchants? And that instead, we didn't make it past border control before being caught and having to start the killing. Well, this week was one long, running battle. First, the merchants who came to the gate after us and caught us cleaning up. Then the skeletons in the fort they alerted. And cavalry, and wyvern, and dragon. All undead. We barely survived. Given how much he could smash us, and that we were sort of on that path anyway, we agreed.So we did all this prep-work to get into Geb, the land of the undead, cleanly by posing as merchants with faked papers and a plan about what we could sell. #TuesdayGame: Some cultists came a-knockin at the bastion, looking for spell components. We tried to get them to go away, but of course it turned into a fight. Lots of smashing and fun with that. We decided to burn the bodies, but held onto a couple of heads to Speak with Dead to try to get a lead on the next step. #TuesdayGame: Well, it's been a while. We managed to track down the necromancer who's been terrorizing unnamed hamlet #72. Or near them anyway. We had a blast burning, oh, just about everything in sight. The fields. The zombies. The house. Burning the house did no good, by the way. We just destroyed some of the portals to the mini-dimension inside. But it felt good! We're a little more murder hobo than usual in this game. I'm usually the voice of reason. #TuesdayGame: We have a player who can't remember anything. Ever. His new character started out with a really creepy mask on, but this was a very him thing to do, so we rolled with it. In tonight's game, he lost the mask, and it turns out he's a *gorgeous* human. But of, course, our characters have never seen his face. And the player can't remember anything, so we're all giving him crap in game about not being the same person. It's just hysterical!#DnD #TTRPG

#TuesdayGame: Brought the dead kid's body back to town before heading off for the swamp to find the necromancer. Managed to calm the angry mob ready to go on a witch hunt until they listened to reason. I hope.In the swamp, we ran into the witch. She's definitely hiding something, but probably isn't the baddie. I had a moment of spider induced panic when we were attacked by a swarm zombie hands. I brought the wrath of god down on them with Sacred Flame, turning them to ash! #ttrpg #DnD

#TuesdayGame: We kicked off a new #Dnd 2024 game last night. The GM did a cute thing of having each of us explain how we met another character and then asking a question about something we all did together (first fight, first travel together...). I enjoyed it a lot as a way to Kickstart the group cohesion. We're investigating why a couple of people didn't show up at farmers' market like usual. Turns out they were ghasts! Fun fight, but now we need to know how it happened. #ttrpg
