Honestly it's nice to see they finally got to use that Dragon Weapon idea that everyone went gaga over when it showed up in that art book as an unused early concept.

I dunno how I feel about them canonizing the Ancient Civilization as being a self-destroying group of genetic manipulators. Also I appreciate how they handled everyone looking at World and going "this feels kinda colonizing?"

-You specifically set up a *temporary* base camp, you're not starting a colony like in World

-When the locals tell you to fuck off, you do actually fuck off.

-In the ending, when an aide says "hey, now we can set up in the Eastlands!" the Guild leader says "No, they have to invite us in. It's not our land."

Also I like that Alma, your Handler, specifically has to authorize you to hunt things. Points up that you're not there just casually wiping out species because they looked at you funny.

'Course that does create a little friction later in the game when you're just seeing what pops up in a given environment and running off to kill it for a new pair of shoes, but #MonsterHunter #MonsterHunterWilds #gaming
