I am two days behind on my #31DaysOfHalloween viewing, because it took my brain a few days to process that it's October now. Every Halloween I try to find 31 horror movies I haven't seen yet and watch them. This year I'm going to start by filling in my Phantasm deficit. I've seen the first one, but none of the sequels.

If you haven't see my posts for Halloween, I'm not editing what I'm viewing by good movies. Don't try to save me. Its already too late.

@WhatDoIKnowJR I watched the first Phantasm film on a lark when it was randomly suggested to me by my smart TV. It wasn't what I was expecting at all, but it was a great film. One of the few times a recommendation algorithm really paid off!

I still have a massive list of horror movies to watch that I gathered up last year. I should probably dust that one off and watch a few this month!

@Tim_Eagon The Phantasm series kind of reminds me of Hellraiser, not because of content, exactly, but because it was a series with its own weird mythology doing its own thing that didn't look like the rest of the genre around it. Which is not to say there weren't standard horror tropes, but how many horror movies were doing extra-dimensional morticians with chrome murder balls?

@WhatDoIKnowJR yeah, I wasn't expecting the diminutive, corpse-stealing aliens at all.
