I've started reading the transcripts of the "A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs" podcast. I'm up to episode 73, and even though I'm not a huge Elvis fan or anything, I have really grown to fucking loathe Colonel Tom Parker.

@Tim_Eagon Widely regarded as the reason Elvis never played in the UK. Parker didn't dare let him out of his sight, but would have run into trouble if he had accompanied him due to his fabricated identity, so because Parker was afraid to be detained or deported he denied Britain a chance to see Elvis live. All in all, a man with very few redeeming features.
