Power is power and nazis are dangerous whether they have the juice or don't - but Trump believes his lies, or rather, believes his emotions and whims have the ability to distort and bend reality around him. Vance doesn't actually BELIEVE that and I don't think you can fake it. We want Trump to croak. I promise.

I'll prove it to you because the rich guys just tried to replace Trump in 2023/early 2024. The guy they tried to replace him with? DeSantis. Now nobody is gonna argue that DeSantis isn't dangerous, or that he's not a fascist, or even quite frankly that he's not an actual "I love Hitler" Nazi - but also? Ain't nobody starting up a cult of DeSantis. He simply does not have the juice. You can be a fascist without the juice, but you can't be Hitler. Trump is more dangerous than Vance b/c "cult."

Note the swollen puffy cheeks, the childlike darting eyes, how absurd he looks in makeup, the high nasal whine of his voice, the way his suits don't fit right as if he's slightly bursting out of them, the performative tough guy poses, weird jerky too excited "jared Kushner"-esque way he walks. The way he talks like a /pol poster, not a nazi demagogue.

Hitler was _good_ at using the new mass media at the time. He might have been only a lousy artist, but he figured out how to make speeches and hold media-intensive rallies quicker than most.
Trump, likewise, has captured the (social) media spirit of our time in a way few others have. Elon Musk's shitposting comes close in some respects, but he doesn't have the stage presence that Trump has.
