    How do people plan for or change in stressful or chaotic times?

    Being able to adapt to change, being flexible, and the creation or taking advantage of different opportunities, optionality, seems very important to me.

    Times of change can be slow, until they are not*. I’m curious what, if anything, people have been doing differently?

    I’ve been gathering my personal records, updating vaccinations, trying to spend less and simplify where possible. Technically trying to reduce subscriptions and dependence on the hyper scalers.

    * How did you go bankrupt?" Bill asked.
    "Two ways," Mike said. "Gradually and then suddenly."

      @thedarktangent
      Honestly? Channeled fear into buying stuff to prep for an altogether too likely-seeming collapse. Now I at least can be reasonably certain my roommate and I won't die due to lack of basic needs if, say, a natural disaster hits and Trump refuses to send aid to a blue state. Plus we have fireproof pouches for basic records, which is nice too.
