For the past couple of weeks, some of us moderators of the subreddit r/Silksong, have been working on an exciting project. We’ve created a lemmy instance for fans of indie games. I wonder if it’s a flaw with some tool or library that multiple apps are using.

Better is subjective. Your original one is probably more supported. Sync isn’t updated.

The links are not working in Boost, but it’s possible to search for it instead. I was able to subscribe that way

Sync hasn’t been updated since March 2024. There is no new Api support, and should be considered abandoned.
As long time sync user I have shifted to summit. It took a little getting used to, but it’s the closest alternative that’s actively being developed.

Same here and it really upset me switching. I had used sync for a very long time on Reddit and was thrilled with the announcement it was coming to lemmy
I know the dev was renowned for disappearing but the lemmy app launch left a bad taste. I’m glad I didn’t put any money into that app but I truly hope he’s ok. I know he’s had to take breaks from development for mental health reasons
Summit was the closest I found to what I was familiar with. There’s only a couple small things I wish were different but overall it’s been great
