The New Safe Confinement costed $2.1 billion euros to protect us
Because of the #war in #Ukraine by #Russia it's currently becoming more dangerous again, because of Russia

@stux Fuck nuclear power.

@stux Fuck nuclear power.
@Methylcobalamin @stux nuclear isn't the problem at hand. (Also a fun fact, a lot of the negative stuff said about nuclear power originates from propaganda generated by oil companies)

@JamesTDG @Methylcobalamin I agree!
Nuclear could be one of the few solutions, like fusion
-
@Methylcobalamin @stux again, this is not the fault of nuclear power itself, but rather the follies of others involved. Investigate what caused the incidents, don't just blindly use them as examples when the damages caused by other sources of power are worse on a global scale.
Reasons why these incidents happened in replies.

@JamesTDG @Methylcobalamin One could even argue that what happened in Japan for example is some piece of great engineering
The waves that hit the coast did flood the reactors but they did held and stand still! There are not many structures that can handle such powers
Nuclear accidents are often result of human actions and or bad invest/preperation
Pesonally for me, Nuclear is the solution until we fix fusion
