@SJohnRoss Journals. Definitely journals.
They start out blank and then I fill them with everything I can think of. LOL
And pens. So many pens!

As someone with ADHD, I collect hobbies. Usually for about 6 months at a time. Knitting lasted 13 years, though!I just started a sourdough.

@SJohnRoss
I had to think about that for a while. 6 months is generally long enough for me to get deep enough to find out if I actually like it. If I've done something 8 month, it generally lasts.I do keep the knowledge & some level of skill afterward. So I may do it from time to time afterward, but it's not really a hobby any longer.
TTRPG, reading, knitting... that's about all that's lasted. The thing tying them together is that there is still more to learn. I gave up knitting bc of pain.

@SJohnRoss I was both sad and very happy when I sent all of my knitting paraphernalia to a emigree a couple of years ago. They moved to the States in suitcases and she had none of her gear. I probably had more than a thousand dollars in crap accumulated between needles, books, yarn, and other accouterments.

Oh, yes, the happy definitely outweighed the sad. Periodically, she sends me pics of what she's made, and then I'm happy all over again!
