@pluralistic I found this piece really touching. As one who from early age struggled with writing, this explanation of our system answers questions I did not realize to ask. It also brings forward something applicable to confronting the strength of individualism in our society. Humans collaborate and should collaborate more often, we should learn to do that instead of taking short cuts. But short cuts is what is celebrated by those in power, with collaboration being to tool to organize
