I was inspired by @mntmn 's "using AI wastes a lot of energy" email signature idea.

So I just combined the OpenMoji for "prohibited" with the OpenMoji for "sparkle" and it makes a pretty convincing "no AI" sign. I put it up on Codeberg if you want it.

Yes, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Definitely a throwback to the "please don't print this email" days and makes a tiny statement about who I am as a person.

Plus it encourages everyday folks who want to resist so-called AI but don't know how to get started.

Thank you so much for the idea @mntmn !

@jaredwhite yeah the single word "help" in an email is so much better than the overly verbose crud.

@jaredwhite And if you get a short, cryptic email that makes no sense, at least you *know* that it makes no sense and can act accordingly. As opposed to something where a LLM has taken the same nonsensical input and extruded something that *appears* to make sense but which might very well not be at all what the person who sent it intended! (Or it might be. It's just impossible to know.)

Here is also a literal noAI custom emoji that I took from a public domain Wikimedia Commons image and added the white background:

I was inspired by @mntmn 's "using AI wastes a lot of energy" email signature idea.

So I just combined the OpenMoji for "prohibited" with the OpenMoji for "sparkle" and it makes a pretty convincing "no AI" sign. I put it up on Codeberg if you want it.

Please consider the environment before printing this email or feeding it through a horrendously inefficient space heater.

I think the real challenge will be getting an AI to make a better "no AI" symbol.
