    Where the fuck does ICE go now? Because they have to go somewhere. They hired all these guys for *something*. So where?

    And do they think people from Minnesota won't help train people? Do they think we won't be learning from them?

    This is a total no-win for the Trump admin. They got nothing from Minneapolis, not even a good photo op. So what now?

    They built the goon army. What are they gonna do with them?

    @artemis they may not have thought that out.

    A bunch of angry,burnt out, humiliated, poorly trained troops at odds with society? Doesn't sound good. History tells us pent up or abandoned troops go wrong.

    My thoughts:
    1) they hold them in reserve awhile. That doesn't go well.
    2) the troops resort to crime, pursuing sude agendas, etc. Discipline issues increase.
    3) troops factonalize, turn on each other. Organization fragments, vulnerable to psy-ops.
    4) late attempt to shuffle them around. Increased disorder and violence

    They stay stupid and violent but at whom?

      @CedarTea
      What are they going to do with them in the meantime though? Pay them to sit on their asses? Try to get them to work the border? A lot of these guys can barely read.

      @artemis
      Potentially the ass thing. They've got a pretty big war chest. They're paying them either way. And it's not as if the bodysnatching machine is their revenue source.

      Could also do training for a bit. That's how most orgs fill gaps.

      Or, possibly they could take a run at another place. But if they were any good at this they'd wait. Big if, I suppose.

        Add to that, these are not by and large trained professional people. They are generally immature racist chuckleheads who thought they were signing up for RL Call Of Duty. They have short attention spans and a low tolerance for when it 'just isn't fun anymore." Things could get (may be getting) very ugly in a hurry.

            Maybe. But a few days of breathing real tear gas has a way of dampening one's enthusiasm.

            Although your point is very much on target. An undisciplined rabble with poor leadership is a recipe for real chaos.

              I gotta be honest, I think if you take them out of the field, the suicides really start happening. Just sitting, stewing in the shit they've done & the fact they'll never be forgiven.

              Yeah, these guys are not about to be ok mentally either.

                Yup. And wasn't joking about the tear gas. These guys are breathing a lot of very dangerous chemicals everyday, even wearing their masks. It is a huge short and long term health hazard both mentally and physically.

                  @artemis I heard ICE/BPD are showing up in Maine now. But people there are not going to tolerate them. The locals know who is from out of town during winter and already identifying agents at hotels and restaurants. (This is according to posts I've read on Bluesky.)

                    @artemis @mastodonmigration I supect there have been a few suicides. My guess right now is increasing substance abuse.

                    Also they know they've done horrible things that aren't out to the general public. One hidden cam, one investigation, one mass grave found. .

                    They cant go back. Cant go forward. They made their choice and now its just finding the length of the countdown.
