"I regret appointing him.

@Remittancegirl @GeofCox @jonesmurphy we did have Attlee, Benn, Wilson, Polanski, Lucas
That is to say, there are numerous MPs who today sit in our Parliament and represent us with the very best intentions.
I do not subscribe to 'all are bad' fallacy
Xx
@Geri @Remittancegirl @GeofCox I agree. Only a solid majority are bad. Not all.

@Remittancegirl @GeofCox @jonesmurphy no, I would suggest. It is a tiny tiny minority
What evidence have you that the majority of MPs are bad and as I understand it you mean racist?

@Geri @Remittancegirl @GeofCox you're focused on MPs. I'm focused on voters. There's no way a tiny minority caused what we see past and present. I don't believe MPs are worse than voters, but they cannot be better.

"Britain has had horrible racist leaders for centuries"
This is an untrue statement.

@Remittancegirl @Geri @GeofCox Madeleine, I wrote it. Totts, Britain is responsible for the murders of millions of Native Africans and Americans, and smaller but very substantial numbers of Indigenous Australians, South Asians and Middle Eastern people, among others. Denying that genocide marks you as a racist a$$hole.

@Remittancegirl @GeofCox @jonesmurphy I am not denying genocide. I am saying that in modern times, the UK is not led by racist leaders.
What evidence have you got that says I am wrong here
Please don't use personal remarks, thanksShould you care to even casually glance at my TL you will discover I am very outspoken about the righteous cause of the Palestinian people and other marginalised people elsewhere, including ICE matters in your country

@Geri @Remittancegirl @GeofCox are you fucking kidding me?
Cameron: We were wrong to call Mandela a terrorist
David Cameron has made another decisive break with the Conservative Party's past by admitting that Margaret Thatcher had been wrong to brand Nelson Mandela's African National Congress (ANC) "terrorists" during the struggle against apartheid.

I can't see how you can say the political landscape of the 21st century is coloured by the 19th?
Do we judge modern Americans by the Sand Creek Massacre or the Wounded Knee Massace?
Are all Germans Nazis?
You can see how daft it is.
If the stone is thrown too far back, it makes no ripple in the pond.

@Geri @Remittancegirl @GeofCox see my replies to your previous message. Nazi eugenics doesn't just still dominate German culture to a tremendous extent. It's dominant across Europe, the European Diaspora, and many cultures impacted the European Diaspora. It's very dominant here in the US. When they bother to wear uniforms, ICE agents here literally wear brown shirts. Trump constantly brags about his superior genes, and slams the inferior genes of nonwhite immigrants.

@Remittancegirl @GeofCox @jonesmurphy Fair point - your right here
Quite shameful
Tbh, I approach life in an optimistic way and rarely look for bad things - this is a fault of mine. The reason I do this because of my Dystonia but that's a by-the-by.
One of the differences between here and Twitter if someone has seen that that they are wrong they put their hands up
That's me.

@Kerplunk Whilst Mandelson served as an informal adviser to Starmer for several years leading up to the 2024 general election and was considered a "core part" of Starmer’s political network and exerted a significant influence over the office during the campaign, it is generally understood that McSweeny was more influential. Notwithstanding, once he was returned to No 10, Mandelson was dropped.
Blair is behind all of this, of course

@Geri @Remittancegirl @GeofCox I'm very optimistic. My maternal maternal great-grandmother told me stories of plantation life in Antigua, then ruled by Britain. She heard far worse stories from her enslaved great-grandparents. My life is better, particularly once my native island Dominica escaped British rule. I'm also descended from the Carib tribe which gives the Caribbean its name. The British and other Europeans wiped them out in the rest of the Caribbean.

@Remittancegirl @GeofCox @jonesmurphy yea yea
I run #KAF Kent Against Fascists and we regularly monitor and report on the comings and goings of right wing extremists
Recently we tipped off the French authorities about a guy crossing from Dover to France to cause trouble in the French refugee camps. Xx

@Geri @Remittancegirl @GeofCox it's not just a few extremists. For years, the Andrew formerly known as Prince was far more popular in Britain and across the West than his nephew Harry. Andrew was wanted for questioning by the FBI for many years, yet because he respected Nazi eugenics and only raped Aryan kids, many preferred Andrew over Harry.

@Remittancegirl @GeofCox @jonesmurphy we have a newspaper here called the Daily Mail which has launched an on-going virulent attack on Harry for years ever since Harry said they had hacked his telephone - which they had.
Notwithstanding, my terrible countrymen who see Megan as being a black person in the Royal Family as anathema.
I am a republican but dislike them being criticised for these matters.
Megan could have been used to stimulate British fashion, too, a missed opportunity.

@Geri @Remittancegirl @GeofCox Daily Mail is indeed pure garbage, but it's simply meeting massive demand for racism. That grassroots racism is much older than Harry and Meghan. It's Hitler's Nazi eugenics. It's what drove centuries of genocide, slavery and apartheid.
