I say Dynamite Headdy is among the top tier of SEGA Genesis platformers.

It’s up there with Sonic 3, Ristar, and Aladdin.

And it was Treasure’s second game, the one they made after Gunstar Heroes.

What makes this one stand out is that it has a puppet theme. That’s right, every character is a puppet. And the game takes place in a theatre. Even health is indicated by theatre lights.

The reason the game’s called Dynamite Headdy is because you beat enemies by hitting them with your head. In terms of mechanics, it works well.

Definitely a classic.
