I can now post text posts to BlueSky and Mastodon. I can also post links to articles and social cards will load on both platforms (Mastodon was much easier haha). I've tested the video upload function separately for BlueSky and Mastodon, but I haven't run the upload function to run both at the same time.
Developer friends - what are other social platforms with good APIs that I can integrate into a posting tool like this?
Also, @rainer - we're getting somewhere!

@ericwickham So awesome! I'm curious to know if @loops or @pixelfed APIs could integrate into something like this.

@mapache and @devleader have both made cross-posting tools, so may be able to help... or maybe you'd like to check out their tools.

@SmartmanApps @ericwickham @rainer you da man!
Bluesky and Mastodon are good starting points given the setup they follow. Once you get into platforms owned by giants, it's a bit more of a pain.
Threads was pretty good. Twitter too, but there's an API cost which is automatically a turn off for many.
Tumblr, Pinterest, and Reddit are straightforward.
LinkedIn is by far the worst one with a public API.

@devleader @SmartmanApps @rainer This is great advice, thank you! I've sort of given up on Twitter, despite it being one of my larger social media accounts. Among other things, I hate how poorly posts linking my stories do there.
Looks like Threads might be the next one, then Reddit, Pinterest, and maybe YouTube.
