    So, I have one of those smart watches that tracks health crap. I noticed recently that I am *always* stressed during my Tuesday game. More than any other time, even during work hours. Or at least matching the worst work hours.

    I went back to before I started the swim class between work and game on Tuesdays and it was still true.

    I honestly prefer the Wednesday group (not just the game). I've though about leaving, but the game might collapse if I leave. NOT saying I'm all...

      that, but it's a small group and has problems keeping other players when we add them.

      I just asked a friend of mine to join the group. He did. I'm hoping that it will ease the dynamics some, but if it doesn't... do I leave in a few months if it doesn't get better?

      Yes, I'm borrowing trouble. I'm not going to obsess over it. Just pondering if I keep eating the bad pizza.

          @ericmpaq @DejahEntendu Exactly this. At minimum a break is good idea.

          For the long term… If you enjoy the game and the people to the point that you would want to talk about this with the group and improve the situation, then I would go that route. If you’re not comfortable with that conversation or you don’t think it would affect change, then better to just step away.

            @DejahEntendu I had to give this same advice to a friend who hated how her D&D game was going but liked people in it: You can find other ways to spend time with the people you like, but if the game is stressful or just sucks, you can hit the bricks, it’s okay!

              @EmpyClaw @ericmpaq

              I'm pretty sure the issue is the way one person behaves. I left the group before. Came back after he left too. He came back later and has been better about the worst things, but he's still a whiny brat. Aggressive when rolls don't go his way. Aggressive when people make decisions he doesn't like. Clearly wants to be "the boss" of the party, but won't actually step up. He's taking a break next semester, so we'll see how those few months go.

              Thanks for piping up!

                @AllTheAmpersands
                It's the other way around for me. I like the game well enough, but I think it's one person in particular who stresses me out.

                  @EmpyClaw I had a conversation with this group once before about working together rather than trying to do it all as individuals. That really helped. I'm not comfortable saying that the one person's attitude/behavior needs to change. In my experience, people rarely react to that positively, either in the moment or in the long run.
