humans are the most busted glass cannon build in evolutionary history

we completely dumped strength, speed, natural armor, claws, fangs basically everything that makes other animals dangerous in melee and went ALL IN on the cognition stat and then we invented Throw Rock No Jutsu

which doesn't sound like much until you realize the entire history of human weapons technology is just iterations on "throw rock":

    sharp rock

    sharp rock on stick

sharp rock on stick you can throw

bendy stick that throws smaller sharp sticks

    rock but it explodes

rock but it explodes and goes really far

rock but it explodes from orbit

BUT we didn't just invent ranged combat, we invented KITING

      like the actual gaming concept

persistence hunting was just follow animal at a jog for six hours throwing things at it until it dies of exhaustion

we were keeping aggro and maintaining distance while applying DoTs before games existed

no other animal figured this out

we are the OG kiting class

we looked at the meta and said 'what if I simply never let you touch me' and then took over the planet

bears spec'd into melee. they never stood a chance

@Taweret@timeloop.cafe there is some speculation that persistence hunting might have arisen as early as Homo Erectus; so there is a good chance that we (H. sapiens) did not invent it, but some other earlier hominid. It’s true that our longer legs make us better at it than any previous hominid.

The real cheat code of H. Sapiens is probably our over developed chat features and thus the ability to transmit skill progression. This could have allowed us to beat out other classes like the now removed Neanderthal and Denisovan classes that were introduced around the same time.
